Approved exemption status allows entry, residence, and study. Initial approval is generally for one year, or less when the passport has shorter validity, and may be extended to the Director's satisfaction.

What This Route Is Not

It is not available merely through an unmarried partnership or marriage to a Fiji permanent resident. It does not authorize employment; a spouse who intends to work must obtain the appropriate work permit.
