What this route allows
This route can let you live in Mauritius while continuing remote work, business, or retirement-income activity sourced outside Mauritius. The visa is issued online and the official page states there is no processing fee.
What this route is not
This is not a local-employment route. If you want to work for a Mauritian employer, invest locally, or settle longer term, Mauritius points applicants toward separate Occupation Permit, Residence Permit, investment, or retirement routes.
Next Steps
- Confirm your work or income source remains outside Mauritius.
- Confirm the household income figure: $1,500/month for each adult applicant, plus $500/month for each dependent child.
- Prepare evidence of long-stay plans, accommodation, and travel or health insurance.
- Gather documents showing your foreign employer, clients, business, pension, or other income source.
- Apply through the official online Premium Visa process.
- Track renewal timing if you plan to stay beyond the first visa period.
- Consider a separate Mauritius work, investment, or retirement route if you decide to remain longer term.
