Summary

Anguilla's Residence by Investment program separates business-property investment from its residence-only fund and residential-home options. Its current program page advertises a right to reside and work through at least USD $750,000 in business premises, or a USD $750,000 combined business-and-residential property investment with at least half of the required value in business premises.

Eligibility

The investment must meet the business-premises rules and be accepted through the government program. For a mixed investment, putting the full amount into a home does not meet the business share. The published amount covers a family of up to four; confirm additional-dependent terms and the treatment of a proposed property with the agency.

The Anguilla Economic Residence Act sets out the general investor application process: an applicant aged at least 18, an authorized agent, evidence of the investment and funds, personal certificates, due diligence, and official approval. The business-property options are described on the current program page. Confirm the governing rules for the specific premises before committing capital.

What This Route Allows

The program describes this as a permanent-residence option with work rights, unlike its fund and residential-property options. The scope of work permitted by an issued document, and any business registration or licensing, should be checked before operating or taking another role. Eligible family members may be included subject to approval and their own rights.

What This Route Is Not

It is not a general property-based right to take any job, nor an automatic grant of residence when a property is bought. It does not directly grant Anguillian status, British Overseas Territories citizenship, or a British passport.

Next Steps

  1. Ask Select Anguilla to confirm the premises, valuation, business share of any mixed purchase, and current work-rights terms.
  2. Use an authorized agent and gather investment, funding, health, police, and identity records.
  3. Budget for due-diligence, processing, property, and any business-licensing charges in addition to the published investment floor.
  4. Obtain approval and review the actual residence and work permissions before starting operations.
