Summary
An investment of at least XCG 500,000 that benefits Curaçao’s economy can support investor residence. The authorities consider jobs, foreign currency, and economic development, as well as the amount. Higher investment levels can support longer permission, but every proposal needs approval.
Dutch and U.S. citizens should first compare their separate admission arrangements. Other applicants can use this investor category if they meet its financial and personal requirements.

What This Route Allows
The published tiers are three years from XCG 500,000, five years from XCG 750,000, and an indefinite period from XCG 1,500,000. The approval and ongoing conditions govern the actual right to remain. Family members require the appropriate applications and evidence.
What This Route Is Not
It is not citizenship by investment and does not automatically grant a Dutch passport or residence in the European Netherlands. Ordinary property ownership, an investment budget, or an unapproved project is not equivalent to an issued investor permit. Business licensing and permission for particular work may require separate review.
Next Steps
- Describe the investment and choose the permit length you want to apply for.
- Confirm with Immigration how that investment meets the policy and what evidence is needed.
- Document available funds, independent support, and the applicant’s personal records.
- Follow the current application instructions; first applications normally require waiting abroad.
