Summary
Specialists and employees on qualifying company transfers can seek Argentine residence through an employer or host that documents the contract or transfer and its own registration. Experience and qualifications support that arrangement but cannot replace it. Approval normally provides renewable temporary residence for the authorized work and access to a resident identity card.
Eligibility
You need either:
- A specialist contract with a public or private organization; or
- A transfer from an overseas company as a manager, technician, or administrative employee, with pay received in Argentina.
The host must be registered with immigration and provide the required contract or transfer letter. A transfer also requires the applicable employee tax registration.
