Summary

Argentina’s working-holiday agreements allow eligible young visitors to combine travel with work; most cover ages 18–30, while France, Ireland, and New Zealand extend to 35 and South Korea to 34. Spanish applicants aged 31–35 need confirmation because official pages conflict; all applicants need to check the current program and consular requirements.

Check the rules for your passport
  1. Read your country’s agreement Check the age, previous-participation, and document requirements.
  2. Confirm places are available Ask the consulate about quotas and any conflicting guidance.
  3. Apply before making plans Get approval before relying on this program for travel and work.

Places are not guaranteed, and a working holiday does not guarantee later residence.

Eligibility

The official list includes Armenia, Australia, Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, and Sweden.

Age limits are 18–30 for most partners, 18–35 for France, Ireland, and New Zealand, and 18–34 for South Korea. Spain’s program page says 18–30, but the treaty announcement says 18–35; applicants aged 31–35 should confirm with the consulate.

Follow the full set of rules for the qualifying passport you will use. These include first participation, funds, return travel, insurance, and any home-residence, education, or dependent-family restrictions. Spain requires living there as your usual home and qualifying higher education.

What This Route Allows

You can travel and take the work allowed by your country’s agreement. Check its limits on employment, training, entry dates, and extensions.

What This Route Is Not

A place is not guaranteed. This is not a general work visa, automatic permanent residence, or a nationality-based residence right for every Spanish citizen.

Next Steps

  1. Open the official page for the passport you will use.
  2. Confirm current availability and any conflicting eligibility guidance with the relevant consulate.
  3. Prepare the documents and obtain approval before relying on the program for travel or work.
