Azerbaijan Property Residence

Azerbaijan Residency
Pathway overview

At a glance

Ownership of qualifying Azerbaijani real estate worth at least AZN 100,000 can support an application for temporary residence.

Property value
At least AZN 100,000
Ownership evidence
Official title and an accepted valuation; an informal arrangement or reservation is insufficient
Work permission
Owning property and obtaining residence do not themselves authorize employment

Summary

A home or another qualifying property in Azerbaijan can provide a basis for temporary residence when its documented value reaches AZN 100,000. The application depends on legal ownership and acceptable valuation evidence, so an advertised purchase price is only the starting point.

This route may interest someone who already wants a property in the country and intends to use it as a base. The immigration decision remains separate from the transaction: title records, registration at an address and the applicant’s personal documentation still have to satisfy the State Migration Service.

From property evidence to residence
  1. Verify the property Check title, qualifying ownership, and accepted valuation.
  2. Meet the threshold Document at least AZN 100,000 in qualifying property value.
  3. Apply for residence Submit immigration, address, and medical records.

A purchase and a residence decision are separate; permanent residence has different requirements.

Could this pathway work for you?

Eligibility

The property must be in Azerbaijan and satisfy the AZN 100,000 temporary-residence threshold. The title and valuation documentation need to establish the applicant’s qualifying ownership. Separate requirements apply to permanent residence, including different financial thresholds; they should not be confused with this initial route.

Applicants must also have lawful immigration status for filing, appropriate identity documents and an address for registration. Medical documentation forms part of the official application checklist.

What This Route Allows

Approval grants temporary residence and a residence card that supports travel out of and back into Azerbaijan during its validity. Continuing ownership and the other residence conditions matter when extending the permission.

What This Route Is Not

Property ownership is not citizenship or an unconditional right to remain. The residence basis does not itself authorize an unrelated salaried job; employment needs the applicable work permission or exemption. A spouse or child requires their own qualifying family application.

Next Steps

  1. Check the title, ownership structure and accepted valuation before making a purchase commitment.
  2. Prepare the temporary-residence application and address-registration documents.
  3. Apply within the official filing deadlines and preserve evidence of the qualifying asset for renewal.
