Summary
The Czech employee card is a long-term residence permit that lets third-country nationals live and work in Czechia (Czech Republic) in a qualifying job.
This route is employer and position specific. The job, contract, wage, and any vacancy-listing requirements need to line up before the application can work.
Eligibility
- You have a Czech job offer
- The role fits one of the employee-card bases: a vacancy registered for employee-card holders, a role covered by a Czech work permit, or a situation where you already have free access to the Czech labour market
- You have a work contract, work agreement, or future contract tied to the role
- If the role is vacancy-based, the employer gives you the vacancy identification number and any qualification proof the job or law requires
- You can provide the standard residence documents, including application form, travel document, proof of accommodation, photograph, and any police-clearance or medical document requested
- The employer is not treated as an unreliable employer under Czech rules
