Denmark Fast-Track Work Permit
At a glance
Denmark’s Fast-Track Scheme lets a SIRI-certified employer recruit under one of five work-permit tracks. The employer must support the application, and the job must meet the selected track’s requirements.
- Employer
- Must be certified by Denmark’s immigration agency, SIRI
- Salary tracks
- DKK 552,000 for the ordinary pay track or DKK 446,000 for the supplementary track in 2026
- Starting work
- Employer certification alone does not authorize work; any early start needs immigration approval
Summary
Denmark's Fast-Track Scheme lets employers certified by the immigration agency SIRI bring qualifying foreign employees to live and work in the country. A real job offer must fit one of five separate tracks, each with its own combination of salary, role, qualifications and duration. The employer supports the application.
Certification does not give the individual permission to start work. Any early-start arrangement must be approved, and the salary tracks should not be confused with the short-term or other tracks. Choose the correct track before assessing the job against its requirements.
Eligibility
- Hold an offer from a currently certified employer.
- Meet the selected track’s salary, role, qualifications, and duration requirements.
- Have the employer arrange the application and any early-start permission.
-
Certified employer Confirm the employer currently holds SIRI certification.
-
Choose one track Match the job to that track's salary, role, qualifications, and duration rules.
-
Employer-supported filing Arrange the application and any required early-start permission.
Each of the five Fast-Track tracks has its own checklist.
Fast-track certification will not cover the new scheme
Fast-track certification will not cover the new scheme
SIRI says a Fast-track-certified employer needs a different certification to use the collective-agreement pay scheme from January 2027. A current Fast-track approval alone does not qualify an offer for that new route.
Timing: SIRI states that the new scheme starts January 1, 2027. Employers need the certification for this particular scheme; existing Fast-track certification is not sufficient.
What This Route Allows
Work in the approved employment with the flexibility provided by the selected Fast-Track track.
What This Route Is Not
An employer certificate is not a personal work permit. The five tracks do not share a single salary minimum or maximum stay.
Next Steps
Choose the track with the employer and use its specific checklist before authorizing the employer to apply.
