Saint Kitts and Nevis Family Residence
At a glance
If your spouse or parent holds a Saint Kitts and Nevis work permit, you may qualify for temporary residence as their spouse or minor child. You must prove the family relationship and show that the work permit has been granted. A job offer or pending permit application is not enough.
- Who qualifies
- Spouses and children under 18 of work-permit holders
- Documents
- Your relative's immigration status and official family records
- Sponsor approval
- The work permit must already be granted; an offer or pending application is insufficient
Summary
A granted Saint Kitts and Nevis work permit can support temporary-residence applications for the holder's spouse and children under eighteen. The family uses the actual permit and the main applicant's immigration records, alongside marriage or birth documents proving each relationship.
This provision does not cover unmarried partners, adult children or parents merely because they are part of the household. Family approval is not permanent residence, and the work-permit office should confirm any proposed employment separately.

What This Route Allows
The Minister may grant temporary residence to qualifying work-permit family members. The permission and its conditions must be issued for the accompanying person.
What This Route Is Not
This is not permanent residence or automatic approval for everyone in the household. Do not assume that a dependent residence approval also authorizes a particular job; have the work-permit office confirm before working.
Next Steps
Coordinate the family application with the principal permit holder’s records and confirm each person’s approved duration. Review status again if the employment ends or a child becomes an adult.
