At a glance
Maldives offers Corporate Resident permission to investors who meet one of its approved investment or bank-deposit options. You must document the chosen option and obtain residence approval; transferring money alone is not enough.

Summary

What This Route Allows
Approval lets you reside under the Corporate Resident Visa’s conditions. Check the term actually granted and the requirements to maintain or renew it.
What This Route Is Not
This does not grant Maldivian citizenship. A short Business Visa has different stay limits.
The deposit must be held for five years, but that commitment is not itself a statement of the visa’s length or a grant of unrestricted work rights.
Next Steps
- Confirm which investment alternative fits your case and its approval or holding requirements.
- Prepare the investment, bank, and personal records on the current checklist.
- Apply through ONEGov and check the approved residence period and renewal conditions.
