- Study evidence
- Acceptance or registration and your reason for studying in Namibia

- A sponsor's written commitment or scholarship evidence
Summary
Namibia’s Students’ Permit is for an accepted course confirmed by the institution, with a sponsor or scholarship documenting support for the stay. The student supplies the identity, health, and character records for immigration. A course place does not complete the separate Students' Permit process.
Eligibility
Provide the institution's acceptance or registration, explain why you want to study in Namibia, and supply a sponsor's written commitment or scholarship evidence. Arrange the required financial guarantee.
Prepare your passport, photos, medical and radiological reports—the required medical imaging records—and police records where required. The published higher-education permit fee is NAD 2,200 per year.
Renewal also requires current enrollment and an academic progress report.
-
Confirm your place and support Prepare acceptance, sponsor or scholarship, and guarantee records.
-
Apply with personal evidence Include required identity, medical, and police documents.
-
Keep study records current Provide enrollment and progress evidence for renewal.
The permit requires your own application and supporting records after admission.
What This Route Allows
You can stay for the approved studies and permit period while meeting the conditions. The permit is issued and renewed for the accepted studies, and fees are charged per year.
What This Route Is Not
Admission alone does not give you permission to stay. Student residence does not establish unrestricted work rights or guarantee a graduate work visa, permanent residence, or citizenship.
Next Steps
- Confirm your place and obtain the institution's acceptance or registration records.
- Gather sponsor or scholarship evidence, the financial guarantee, and required personal and health documents.
- Complete entry and Students' Permit requirements. Renew before expiry with current enrollment and progress records.
