Summary
A supported job can allow a foreign worker to live temporarily on Pitcairn when their skills and proposed employment serve the island's public interest. The Governor decides after consulting the Island Council, with health, character and financial or sponsorship evidence included.
Applicants should arrange the application before travel together with transport, housing and required medical-evacuation cover. The visa normally covers six months, with a possible extension of up to six more. A local offer alone does not authorize work or promise settlement.
Eligibility
Confirm the actual work, your skills and experience, and the local arrangements with the employer and immigration office. Employment must be considered in the public interest. Supply health and character evidence, financial support or accepted sponsorship, and insurance covering medical care and evacuation unless waived. Apply before travel and arrange transport and accommodation.
