Summary

People with recognized exceptional achievements in sports, culture, or the arts can seek Saudi residence through the gifted Premium Residency category. Each category has its own required recognition, such as accepted awards or an official recommendation, alongside the general application requirements.

Approved applicants initially receive renewable five-year residence and must continue the relevant talent activity. Permanent residence has additional conditions, including at least 30 months in Saudi Arabia, sufficient funds, and the relevant authority's recommendation. General professional experience alone does not meet the talent test.

Renewal and permanent residence have further requirements. Premium Residency does not give Saudi citizenship.

Eligibility

Your achievements must fit a talent field covered by the program. You need the required award, official recommendation, or other accepted recognition for that category.

You must document the achievements, continue the relevant professional or talent activity, and meet the general Premium Residency requirements. Officials decide whether your evidence qualifies; a quick check cannot confirm approval.

What This Route Allows

The normal permit lasts five years and can be renewed once if you still meet the conditions. Permanent residence requires at least 30 months in Saudi Arabia, enough funds, and a recommendation from the relevant authority.

Qualifying family members may join you. The program provides the economic rights set out in its regulations and generally lets you enter and leave Saudi Arabia without an ordinary employer-sponsored residence arrangement.

What This Route Is Not

This is not a general skilled-worker visa. You must meet a specific talent category's recognition requirements. Premium Residency does not give Saudi citizenship or guarantee a later citizenship grant. Renewal and permanent residence have additional conditions, and other Premium Residency options have different rules.
