- SBD 1 million starts the lowest band; count only one band
- Extra points
- Accepted financial, business, qualification, experience, or planning evidence
Summary
Solomon Islands’ Provisional Investor Visa allows a stay for a registered investment activity when the applicant earns at least five points on the official assessment. Investment amounts and supporting business evidence contribute points; the deciding officer must accept your claims.
Eligibility
Prepare evidence of the registered investment, your business role, and money to support yourself. The form awards two to four points for the amount you commit to invest, starting at SBD 1 million. Other accepted business evidence adds points. Ask Immigration to clarify which amount band applies if you are on a boundary.
Count one investment-amount band, then add any extra points you can prove:
| Evidence | Points |
|---|---|
| SBD 1 million to SBD 2 million committed to investment in the first 12 months | 2 |
| SBD 2 million to SBD 7 million committed in the first 12 months | 3 |
| At least SBD 7 million committed in the first 12 months | 4 |
| At least SBD 2 million in available assets you can readily turn into cash in the first 12 months | 1 extra |
| Proven successful business record | 1 extra |
| Qualification relevant to the investment | 1 extra |
| Relevant experience | 1 extra |
| A credible business plan | 1 extra |
The official form overlaps at the SBD 2 million and SBD 7 million boundaries, so confirm the correct band rather than counting two. Even the highest capital band needs another supported point. Keep money for household living costs separate in the budget. Annual progress reports are required after approval.
-
Confirm the registered project and points Count one investment band and the extra points supported by your records.
-
Prepare investment and business evidence Include support funds and ask Immigration to resolve any boundary in the amount bands.
-
Apply and maintain the approved activity Follow work limits and submit the required annual progress reports.
At least five points are required. Even the highest investment band needs an additional supported point.
What This Route Allows
The form specifies a two-year provisional investor stay. Work is limited to the approved activity.
What This Route Is Not
This is not permanent residence or citizenship. It does not authorize unrelated jobs, and your own calculation of five points does not require the officer to approve the application.
Next Steps
- Confirm the registered project and calculate the supported points from the official form.
- Prepare investment, business, support, and personal records.
- Apply for the provisional visa and follow the approved investment and work conditions.
