Seychelles Student Residence
At a glance
If an approved institution in Seychelles accepts you for higher education, you can apply for a Student Permit. You need proof that you or a sponsor can pay for your studies and stay. The permit does not allow work.
- Who can apply
- Students accepted by an approved institution
- Money to show
- Your own funds or a sponsor to cover studies and living costs
- Work
- Not allowed on the Student Permit
Summary
Students accepted by an approved Seychelles institution can seek a Student Permit to live there for their course. The application combines admission and identity records with proof of personal or sponsored funding. Immigration may also request accommodation evidence and charges a processing fee plus an annual permit fee.
The permit covers the approved studies and dates. An offer of admission or permission to visit Seychelles does not authorize study residence by itself, and the Student Permit does not permit employment or guarantee a work route after graduation.
Eligibility
Provide the admission letter and evidence of your funds or your sponsor's support. Prepare identity documents and any accommodation records Immigration requests.
The published fees are SCR 1,000 for processing and SCR 1,500 for each year of the permit. Student permission is separate from permission to visit Seychelles.

What This Route Allows
You can stay for the approved studies and permit period, while continuing to meet the conditions.
What This Route Is Not
Admission or visitor permission alone does not give you a Student Permit. You cannot work under this permit, and it does not guarantee a graduate work visa, permanent residence, or citizenship.
Next Steps
- Confirm your place and obtain the institution's admission letter and immigration instructions.
- Gather financial-support, identity, and any required accommodation documents.
- Complete the entry and student-permit requirements, and renew before expiry.
