For the residence-history ground, retain the permits and records establishing the full consecutive period. Ask the authorities to assess gaps or absences before assuming your history qualifies.

For the alternative ground, you must actually hold the landholding license. A property search, purchase intention, or assumption that a transaction will receive a license is not enough. The government states that applications for the license go through a local lawyer.

You should also be able to document financial support and provide the personal records required for the residence application. Confirm the permanent-residence checklist with the Prime Minister's Office, including requirements for any family members.

What This Route Allows

Approval grants the permanent-residence status specified in the decision. Obtain written clarification of its conditions, any documentation or renewal obligations, and the effect of extended absences.

What This Route Is Not

A landholding license does not itself grant residence or citizenship. This guide does not promise permanent residence for purchasing a particular property or spending a specified amount.

Permanent residence is distinct from citizenship. Confirm separately whether your employment or business activity still requires work permission or qualifies for an exemption.
