Summary
Venezuela’s work visa lets an overseas worker enter and stay for approved employment. Labor authorization is required before the consular visa application is completed. The file needs a certified copy of that approval and evidence of the worker's qualifications or experience. The permission relates to the approved job, so another position may require new authorization.

Eligibility
You need an identified employer or contracting party and a job that meets the labor authority’s requirements. Looking for a job is not enough.
The visa application requires a certified copy of the approved labor permit. Include degrees, experience certificates, or other documents showing that you can do the job. A pending application does not replace an issued labor permit.
The ministry’s checklist also requires a passport valid for at least six months, photographs, a medical certificate, and payment of the consular fee. Check with the Venezuelan consulate handling your application about document authentication, any additional records, and how to apply.
What This Route Allows
If approved, you can enter and stay in Venezuela for the authorized employment. The visa lasts one year, permits multiple entries, and allows a stay of the same length.
What This Route Is Not
This is not an unrestricted work permit or permanent residence. A change of employer or work may require new approval.
Next Steps
- Arrange the labor approval with your employer or contracting party.
- Obtain a certified copy and gather your qualification or experience records.
- Ask the consulate how it receives the approval and which original documents it needs.
- Apply for the visa and check the requirements for any later renewal or job change.
