A foreign student accepted by a Vietnamese educational institution can obtain a DH study visa and, when the current law and sponsorship requirements are met, a temporary residence card tied to study.
Eligibility
This pathway may fit when the following route-specific requirements are met:
- Admission to and sponsorship by a Vietnamese educational institution or another authorized sponsor.
- A DH-purpose visa application and temporary-residence documents consistent with the study activity.
- Valid passport, identity, enrollment, accommodation, and other records requested by Immigration.
What This Route Allows
DH status allows entry and temporary stay for study. Eligible holders can receive a temporary residence card under the categories and validity rules in force.
What This Route Is Not
It is not an employment permit, permanent residence, or citizenship. Enrollment does not automatically authorize work.
