Honduras Family Stay Permit
At a glance
If your relative holds a Honduran special stay permit, they can apply for eligible family members to join them. The family categories include a spouse, dependent children, and the paternal or maternal grandparents of the couple’s children. Your relative must provide support, and you must document the relationship and any required dependency.
- Who can apply
- Documented qualifying relatives of special stay permit holders
- Evidence needed
- Your relative's immigration status and official family records
- Work
- Paid work requires a change of immigration category
Summary
A holder of a Honduran special stay permit can request permission for qualifying family members to accompany them. The sponsor must document the relationship, any adult child’s dependence, and financial support. It is not independent permission to work. Reaching adulthood can require a category change unless continued dependency is accepted for study, disability, or another justified reason.
Eligibility
An eligible family relationship
Article 75 covers spouses, dependent children, and the paternal or maternal grandparents of the couple’s children. An adult child must provide evidence of continued dependency.
A relative with the right permit and financial support
The person applying for you must already hold a special stay permit and be able to support you. A tourist or someone with a different residence category does not automatically qualify to sponsor this permit.
Family records and limits on work
Provide the marriage and birth records with the required authentication, plus dependency evidence where relevant. Article 141 requires a category change for paid work, marriage, or other relevant changes in dependency.
-
Sponsor's permission Confirm the sponsor already holds a Honduran special stay permit.
-

This is not a generic family route available through any visitor or resident.
What This Route Allows
