A licensed investment project under federal Iraq’s Investment Law
Your role
A qualifying foreign investor in that project
Area covered
Federal Iraq; the Kurdistan Region uses a separate system

Summary

This route concerns a foreign investor in a licensed project under federal Iraq’s Investment Law. The National Investment Commission or relevant provincial commission handles the project framework, and the applicant must establish an accepted role before seeking residence.

The Kurdistan Region uses a separate system. Project approval is not a general permission to live or work anywhere in Iraq, and any additional work or professional authorization needs to cover the actual activity.
