Summary

Kazakhstan’s C3 work visa is for people taking a job with an employer that can arrange the required invitation and hiring approval. The employer must first confirm whether it needs permission to hire you or whether a documented exemption applies.

A job offer is the starting point. You still need the immigration and employment approvals required for your case.

Could this pathway work for you?

Eligibility

You need a genuine job offer, the employer’s invitation, and the required hiring permission or evidence of an exemption. Your contract and qualifications must fit the role.

The procedure can differ by nationality and employer category. Ask the employer to confirm the applicable rules before you prepare the application.

Taking an employer-supported job in Kazakhstan
  1. Confirm the job and hiring rules The employer checks whether permission or an exemption applies.
  2. Prepare the employer-supported visa application Gather the invitation, contract, qualifications, and personal records.
  3. Complete approvals and local formalities Check the permitted work and expiry dates before starting.

The maximum visa length is not a guaranteed grant for every job.

What This Route Allows

An approved C3 visa supports work under the conditions granted. An ordinary multiple-entry work visa can be issued for up to three years. Certain Astana Hub and Astana International Financial Centre cases can qualify for up to five years.

These are maximum periods. Your actual visa may be shorter because of the job, hiring approval, or other supporting documents.

What This Route Is Not

C3 is not an open work visa. Visa-free entry does not by itself authorize employment, and a pending application is not an issued work approval.

Family members need separate applications. This visa does not grant permanent residence.

Next Steps

  1. Have the employer confirm the job, required hiring permission, and any exemption.
  2. Prepare the invitation, contract, qualifications, and personal documents on the current visa checklist.
  3. Obtain the required approvals and complete entry and local formalities before starting work. Track the expiry dates of the visa and employment permissions.
