- Business
- An accepted local business and a qualifying active role
- Funding
- Enough resources for the proposed activity and stay
- Approvals
- Required business permissions plus a Permit to Enter and Reside
Summary
Foreign business operators can seek residence in Tuvalu to carry out an accepted local activity, based on their role and the funds available for it. Any foreign-investment or business authorizations must be arranged alongside the personal Permit to Enter and Reside.
The application uses Form 3 with identity, support, departure, and any required health or police evidence. An ordinary visitor permit does not authorize operating a business. Residence is time-limited, and the regulations restrict extensions rather than providing indefinite residence through company ownership.
Eligibility
Supply the description of the proposed business and evidence of the funds needed to undertake it. Arrange any required foreign-investment, business, or activity approvals separately. Complete Form 3 with passport, photos, support and departure evidence, and any requested health and police documents. An ordinary visitor permit does not authorize operating the business.
