Summary
An accepted investment in an Uzbek business can support an INV investment visa for three years. The minimum investment is 8,500 base calculation units.
A base calculation unit is a government-set amount used to calculate fees and legal thresholds. Its value can change, so the investment minimum is not a fixed US-dollar amount.
Eligibility
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs describes investment through shares or ownership stakes in business entities and enterprises with foreign investment.
Ask the responsible authority to confirm that your investment qualifies, how much of it will be recognized, and which official unit value applies. The accepted investment must meet the 8,500-unit minimum.
Prepare the company and investment records and any required support for the visa application.
-
Confirm the investment and official minimum Check the accepted investment type and applicable value of 8,500 units.
-
Prepare investment evidence and support Gather the company and investment records required for the visa.
-
Apply and meet the ongoing requirements Arrange separate family visas and follow registration, renewal, and business rules.
The minimum depends on the official unit calculation, not a fixed dollar estimate.
What This Route Allows
The INV visa can be issued for three years and extended in Uzbekistan through the required application process.
Your spouse, parents, and children can apply separately for visitor visas covering the investment visa’s period. Each family member still needs to meet the applicable requirements.
What This Route Is Not
INV does not grant permanent residence or citizenship. It is separate from the IT Visa investor category and other residence programs.
A family member’s visitor visa does not authorize local employment. A dollar estimate of the investment minimum does not replace the official calculation in base calculation units.
Next Steps
- Confirm the investment type and current 8,500-unit calculation with the responsible authority.
- Gather company records and evidence of the investment and obtain the required support.
- Apply for INV and any separate family visas, then meet the registration, renewal, and business requirements.
