Summary
Uzbekistan’s ordinary IT-specialist visa category is for eligible IT professionals with a qualifying job in Uzbekistan and at least USD $30,000 in IT income over the previous 12 months.
You first need an official IT Visa recommendation. Other IT Visa categories, including founders and investors, have different requirements.
Eligibility
You need a qualifying IT role with a legal entity based in Uzbekistan. Follow the current official service checklist for evidence of employment or the employer’s commitment to hire you.
You must also document at least USD $30,000 of IT income earned over the preceding 12 months. Prepare the professional and income records needed for the recommendation process. The authority must accept both your employment basis and your professional evidence.
-
Check the role and past-year IT income Confirm the qualifying employer and document income already earned.
-
Apply for the official recommendation Prepare employer, professional, and income records.
-
Obtain the visa and complete local requirements Follow residence registration and the approved employment conditions.
A future salary offer does not replace the required previous 12 months of IT income.
What This Route Allows
An approved IT Visa can be valid for up to three years and provides the program’s exemption from a separate work permit.
Your permitted employment and any family applications must still meet the actual program and immigration conditions. Complete the required residence registration and employment formalities.
What This Route Is Not
A new offer with a high salary does not replace proof of income already earned in the previous year. This is not a general digital-nomad visa or permanent residence.
The USD $30,000 test described here belongs to the ordinary specialist category. Approved founders, investors, and other specialist groups have their own requirements; do not assume the same test applies to all of them.
Next Steps
- Confirm that the role and employer fit the ordinary IT-specialist category and check your previous 12 months of IT income.
- Prepare the employer’s commitment, professional evidence, and income records and apply for the recommendation.
- Obtain the recommendation and visa, then complete the required registration and employment steps.
