What This Route Allows

An approved SERP allows the holder to reside in Barbados for the period stated on the permit. Current Barbados identification guidance recognizes Special Entry Permits issued for five years or indefinitely. The actual term depends on the category and Immigration's decision; do not infer an indefinite permit from age or property ownership without confirmation.

The official checklist accepts relationship evidence for dependents, which indicates that family members can form part of an appropriate application. Each person still needs the required forms and records, and inclusion should be confirmed before the family relies on it.

A SERP should not be treated as automatic permission to take local employment. Barbados's official identification guidance lists a Special Entry Permit and a Reside and Work Permit as separate documents.
